Panorama Center distributes gifts to sick children in Nablus Hospitals"Panorama" the Palestinian Center for the Dissemination of Democracy and Community Development along with community volunteers aimed to connect with the people in Nablus by visiting government hospitals in the city, and passing out gifts to sick children. They visited volunteer groups that operate within human rights programs and civil peace project in the Department of Pediatrics, National Hospital, and gave gifts to sick children. The children‘s families were very pleased and thankful for the gesture, which reflects the concern of Panorama Center to connect with community groups. Dr. Husam Jawhari, Director of the National Hospital, thanked Panorama Center for their concern and initiative towards the children, valuing the role of all institutions working for child care. He encouraged the rest of the institutions to take similar steps to help alleviate the burdens on children and their families, especially for the event of Eid Al-Fitr. Panorama Center and its volunteers also visited sick children in Rafidya Hospital located in the city and provided them with symbolic gifts for the arrival of the Eid. Ameed Dweikat Panorama‘s project coordinator for Human Rights in Nablus said the goal of the visit was to communicate with all segments of the society, and to stand by their children by providing the necessary and appropriate treatment. He added that this activity came as a prelude to the launch of a series of events related to the subject of Human Rights that will be implemented after the feast. The human rights project carried out in sixteen Palestinian governorates, aims to promote the concept of human rights and raise the awareness of the citizen rights of the Palestinian civil, political, social and economic set out in international charters and conventions. The implementation of focus groups includes children, youth and women, in addition to the grassroots community organizations.
